Thanks to the amount of rainfall in January and February, the activity evolves positively for the sector.

Due to the good amount of rainfall during the last couple of months, the peanut growing season is going through a successful period. The areas that are mostly in good conditions are Ticino, Arroyo Cabral, Villa Huidobro and San Luis.

Agricultural engineers from Lorenzati Ruetsch (LR) highlight that the projections are normal for the average of the harvests. The production is almost assured in most of the area. Besides, they state that, nowadays, the crop is in good condition, healthy plants, and that they continue monitoring it.

It is important to mention that the situation was recovered concerning the delayed development of the plants in December caused by previous low rainfall.
